Baby Shakes are a female rock n’ roll-punk band from New York City. With catchy melodic vocals over dirty guitars and a killer rhythm section, their influences range from The Ramones to Chuck Berry and 60’s Motown girl groups. Formed in 2005, they‘ve released three singles, a 10″ EP, a full length LP, a singles collection on iTunes and have toured the US, as well as Europe and Japan.
Several of their songs have been featured in commercials both nationally and internationally. They have also had songs featured on a number of TV shows and indie films. Baby Shakes first full length, titled The First One, debuted in November 2008 and contains ten songs with licks as good as the looks.
They have shared the stage with bands such as The Romantics, The Boys, Black Lips, Detroit Cobras, Shadows of Knight, The Undertones, Protex and Paul Collin‘s
Beat. Currently Baby Shakes are booking a European and Japanese tour for summer and fall. Their 2nd LP ”Starry Eyes” hit the store 2015 and they are right now in the studio working on their upcoming album which will be promoted by an European and one Japanese tour.
Baby Shakes have not parted with the pop sensibility that was the backbone of their previous releases, but they have successfully figured out how to incorporate the influences of all those glam records littering up their tiny New York apartments.
